Building balance through setting priorities

The difference between self-love and selfish is a perspective based topic that has been discussed for years. This month and every month going forward we are encouraging you to explore the wonders of self- love. Giving yourself permission to define new boundaries that allow you to serve, play and rest should never be influenced by what others think or say but rather on what you need right now to embody the best version of yourself. Boundaries are qualities of the heart, they pull you in the direction of your Highest Self into gratitude, compassion, inclusivity, and generosity – finding joy and peace in many forms. Let’s dive in and take a look at some of the ways you can prioritise yourself so that you can start serving from a full cup. There’s a sweet spot in every day where you can rise before the world rises. This is the perfect time to leave your phone on charge and start asking the questions of ‘what is important for me to get done’. We’ve tried our best to give you some examples of priorities you can easily start applying that will not only change the way you love yourself, and therefore others, but it will actively help you to find and maintain balance.

Priorities:

Wake up early to make time for you
Clean room space
Meditation/prayer
Go for a walk/run
Call mom/dad
Make a batch of smoothies
Prep meals for lunch
Carry a water bottle with you everywhere you go
Take time every evening to consciously let go of all anger or frustration you felt that day
Invest in the quality of food you buy
Write a to do list with personal goals/ set up a habit tracker
